Gamestation
Gamestation appeals more to core gamers. The Group acquired Gamestation in 2007, adding 1,800 specialist employees and 217 stores. Gamestation has continued to expand, opening 39 new stores since acquisition.
Specialist skills
Gamestation represents the same passion for video games and specialist retail skills as the rest of the Group, while appealing to a different type of customer.
In 2009 the Gamestation head office moved to the UK Group office in Basingstoke, and the distribution function was integrated into the UK Group infrastructure.
Gamestation's core attributes reflect a dedicated focus on the customer:
Property: Gamestation stores are spread across the UK, generally in secondary retail locations to reach the country's core gamers.
