Selling excitement
At GAME we’ve found that exciting our customers is key to sales. So we devised a unique training initiative in summer 2007.
'Xcite' recognises that our own love of games can bring products to life and that the knowledge and enthusiasm of employees is one of our greatest assets. Engaging regional and store managers, as well as other store employees, we delivered the training through workshops and in-store activity-based learning. As well as covering core selling and customer service skills, we also encouraged our sales staff to share their own experiences of the products.
Improved sales figures across the UK were proof of success. The training programme also won the Silver Industry Award for Effective Communications at the International Visual Communication Association annual event.
