GAME Executive appointed trustee of ESC

Lisa Morgan, Deputy Chief Executive Designate of GAME is today appointed as a Trustee of the games industry charity, The Entertainment Software Charity (ESC). Lisa takes over from John Steinbrecher, Group Chief Executive, as GAME’s representative on the board of esc; John will be leaving the retail chain in January 2004.
GAME Deputy Chief Executive Designate Lisa Morgan felt it was important that the company continued its commitment to the charity, and felt strongly that she wanted to take an active role in the continued success and progress of ESC.
Lisa said “I would like to thank ESC for giving me this fantastic opportunity to take an active role in the fortunes of the charity.”
“At GAME we all feel that there is much that can be achieved as an industry if we continue to pull together. Through the esc we can share the high profile success of our industry with many disadvantaged young people who need our help, in more creative and exciting ways. I hope that with our retail channel backing esc, that this can be accomplished.”
Mark Strachan, Chief Executive of the ESC said “On behalf of ESC I would like to thank John for his support and enthusiasm over the last few years, and we all very much look forward to welcoming Lisa onto the team.”
