GAME / Debenhams join in movies

Europe’s favourite video games retailer, GAME, is to start ranging DVD films into 32 Debenhams stores. The number includes the flagship Debenhams on Oxford Street, London and the DVD testbed* store in Chelmsford, Essex.
The DVD range will be merchandised within the existing GAME branded concession in each of the Debenhams stores. The range will include a top 10 chart and a promotional offer. The products will be in place by the end of September.
The line of DVD films will be supported with marketing materials including A4 hotspots and header ‘highlight’ cards. GAME concession staff will be trained to offer specialist advice and service on all products on sale.
The arrangement marks a further step for GAME into the DVD market. All 380+ UK and Ireland stand-alone stores already stocks an average of 1,000 DVD lines.
