Skate legend Tony Hawk launched his new video game Tony Hawk’s Underground 2, at an exclusive signing at video games store, GAME in Oxford Street. Tony arrived in-store on 27 October to be greeted by hundreds of fans, queuing up to have their copies of the game signed.
Tony Hawk’s Underground 2, made by Activision, is an urban street sports game which allows players to skate around a variety of international cities as one of 20 skatable characters in a ‘world destruction tour’.
GAME is Europe’s leading specialist retailer of video games and computer software, with over 380 stores in most high street and shopping centre locations in the UK and Ireland.
Nick Pilcher, Regional Manager at GAME said “We were all very excited to have Tony in our store on Oxford Street. Many of our customers had waited for hours to meet Tony and have their games or skateboards signed by him, and they were not disappointed!”
“Extreme sports are increasingly popular in this country and across Europe, and we’re seeing more and more TV and lifestyle shows including skating and other related sports. To have launched this game with Tony here in our Oxford Street store is a great way for GAME to provide something extra to our customers.”
*Notes: Tony Hawk's Underground 2 is available now on PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, PC, and GameBoy Advance SP.
